May 2013
You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued … God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. From Ephesians 6:12-18 (The Message)
To our dear partners in prayer,
The Message excerpt above sums up our ministry in everyday language: We are in a spiritual battle, and we are fighting with the weapons of God’s Word and prayer.
Along with our newest prayer calendar for May and June, we love to share with you some of the ways God has fought for us through your prayers from previous calendars.
- Getaways! Glowing reports of God’s abundant grace have come in from leadership getaways in the US states and Canada. Even in Colorado where a blizzard only spurred moms to trust God more in the midst of the storm. It’s impossible to count all the answers to your prayers from the March and April getaways—miracles big and small in individual lives and moms that have stepped into leadership for their states.
- Come to Me! In addition to God’s spurring moms to a deeper prayer life, new area coordinators and new state leadership resulted from retreats in Alaska and Minnesota.
- New Moms in Prayer groups! Groups are now interceding in Arkansas, Iowa, Colorado, Nebraska and North Dakota, plus a new group in Kansas praying in Spanish.
- Abroad! In Haiti, approximately 80 women heard about Moms in Prayer, and all 25 French Booklets were distributed to potential leaders. God granted Mariana, Moldova Country Coordinator, success as she traveled over 1,000 miles to share Moms in Prayer with mothers in three cities of Estonia.
As we entrust another calendar of requests to you, we rejoice in your willingness to “battle” alongside us with the weapons of God’s Word and prayer.
