Pray for the students at your school
That they will have a desire to learn; that they will be motivated to do their very best in their school work
That they will have good relationships with their teachers; that they will find favor in their
teachers’ eyes
That those students with leadership abilities will be bold to speak out for what is right with a gracious tongue
That students of divorced parents and difficult family situations will receive godly counsel, healthy friendships, and compassion from their teachers
That they will not close off the line of communication with their parents
That God will protect and intervene at this age in the awareness of their bodies—for boys in the area of body building, for girls in the area of eating disorders
That the students who are prone to depression and loneliness will find someone to take an interest in them; that our Christian students will not be afraid to reach out to them
That each student will respect authority; that students will not rebel against correction; that they will not be caught up in the widespread spirit of rebellion that plagues our land
That God will protect and intervene in all avenues of premarital relations; that it will not be accepted to have premarital sex; that God’s Spirit will convict boys, opening their eyes to the real beauty of womanhood, that they will not see girls as objects, that girls will have the courage and strength of conviction to say no; that moral values will be fostered in the home
That not one girl will abort her baby; that God will send someone to give true courage and true information
That those students who tend to be overcome by the pressure to get good grades, will not compromise right values and fall into cheating
That our boys and girls will not lie, but speak truth
That each student will hear of and accept God’s forgiving grace; that roots of guilt will not grow in their lives, but they will learn of God’s great love and provision for salvation |
Against Wordly Influence
Drugs—that your school will be drug free! That drugs will not be acceptable; that students with drugs will get caught; that positive peer pressure will be used to encourage students to choose to be drug-free; that God will foil Satan and there will not be drug dealers on campus; that drug and alcohol addiction will not keep its hold on our young
Wild parties—that kids will get caught, and Satan will be thwarted! And parents will not provide opportunities for such
Satan and the occult, which is becoming more visible on campus—that students will not be tricked into these lies
Homosexuality—the influences in our society that strive to convince our young people that this is an acceptable, alternative life style will not be successful
