How exciting to watch the Lord establish Moms in Prayer groups in Paraguay, South America, to call moms to pray for the next generation!
Recently, Country Helper Sandy Cole traveled to Paraguay and met with key leader Betty who had interpreted Moms in Prayer training for her six years ago. We are delighted that Betty will now be encouraging and training new Moms in Prayer leaders!
In Tobati, a pastor’s wife was so excited to hear about Moms in Prayer that she invited several women from surrounding churches to start a group—even before training was finished!
A pastor’s wife from Argentina was also encouraged to start leading a group of grandmothers since she is now one herself. Another mom named Lourdes has been faithfully praying for her children for the past eight years! She expressed that her walk with the Lord has deepened because of her time in the Four Steps of Prayer.
Throughout her travels, Sandy has seen God work powerfully through Moms in Prayer. “As the women spend time praising God and echoing His words during prayer time, they learn more about their Heavenly Father. They also learn that they can come boldly to His throne of grace. Whether in Africa, South America, or here at home, moms discover they don’t have to carry their burdens alone, but can join together in one accord prayer.
“I wish you could’ve met these mothers and witnessed their grateful hearts,” says Sandy. “In Isaiah 62, God posted watchmen (intercessors) on the walls. They were to never be silent day or night. As praying moms around the world, we are posted as ‘watchwomen’ on the walls, standing in the gap for our children and schools.” Join us in asking the Lord for His blessing upon the Moms in Prayer materials that were brought to Paraguay—that these resources will be distributed to the right mothers and will be an encouragement to all who use them.
O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the LORD. Isaiah 62:6 (NLT)
