Sherri Anderson, Moms in Prayer State Coordinator for Wisconsin, was excited to participate on her first mission trip with a team of adults and teens – including her daughter! While the main focus of the trip to Panama was to visit schools and teachers and share the Gospel with students, Sherri was able to meet, encourage and pray with some Moms in Prayer women in Panama.
“These women are true prayer warriors,” says Sherri, “and Diana (de Fouler, the Moms in Prayer Country Coordinator for Panama) is delightful, a wonderfully gifted leader.”
Sherri enjoyed her time with Diana and 14 other Moms in Prayer women, including three Area Coordinators and several team members. They each shared how they were drawn to Moms in Prayer because of a burden to pray for their children. Sherri explained how she was introduced to Moms in Prayer when her children were young, “What a relief to focus each week on God who is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, and everything in between. I learned that the Lord is mindful in each detail and that He loves my children infinitely more than I could. I thanked the Lord for answered prayers and was moved to tears as I heard the prayers of other moms for my child during intercession time.”
As Sherri reflects on her trip, she was reminded, “The hearts of moms are truly the same no matter what country we live in. We all have a burden to pray for our children to the God who encourages us to trust Him more and worry less.”
Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. Psalm 96:1-3 (NKJV)
